[24-HOUR HACKATHON]

Thanks for your interest in the Hackathon. 

For all attendees to have fun in this event its organisers have laid out some  ground rules that all attendees must follow: 

  • Each participant must register for the hackathon and agree to abide by the rules outlined in this rulebook.

 

  • Every team has to register online on the official Techfest website for the competition.

 

  • A team ID will be allocated to the team on the registration which shall be used for future references.

 

  • A group of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 people are allowed to register as a team.

 

  • The problem statement will be revealed on the day of the event.

 

  • Registration necessitates only one representative from each team to enrol on behalf of the entire team. 

 

  • Projects are to be submitted on https://codeathon-24807.devpost.com

 

 

  • Power outlets and extension cords are provided. However, keeping your devices charged or carrying your own power banks in any emergency is suggested. High-speed Wi-Fi will be available throughout the event.

 

  • All Participants are required to bring their own set of resources/equipment required to execute the solution

 

  • The final submission should be made within the limited time of 24 hours and must include some demonstration or proof related to the solution.

 

  • The decision of the organizers or judges shall be treated as final and binding on all.

 

  • Techfest, MIT-BLR, will hold no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries.

 

  • The Hackathon report should contain the following details:

 

  • APIs used in the project. 

  • Any assets used in the project 

  • Any libraries used in the project. 

  • Any components not created at the hackathon. 

  • A link to the GitHub repository.

 

  • All submissions will be checked thoroughly and plagiarism of any kind will lead to immediate disqualification. 

 

  • There is access to faculty and technical support throughout the event. 

 

  • All modes of official communication will be through the Tech-fest e-mail,  participants are advised to keep track of all folders in their email accounts. 

 

  • Projects will be judged based on usefulness, innovation, originality,  sustainability, overall structure and presentation.

 

  • Post-Hackathon Responsibilities: Winners may be required to participate in post-hackathon activities such as showcases or provide additional documentation if organisers request. 

 

  • All participants must carry and present their physical college ID cards for verification and entry.

 

  • No two teams are allowed to interact with each other during the event.

 

  • Any form of malpractice or rule violation will result in immediate disqualification from the event.

 

  • Participants must follow all instructions given by the event organizers. Failure to comply will lead to disqualification.

 

  • No alcohol, drugs, or other prohibited substances are allowed on campus. Students will be checked at the entry, and if found in possession, they will not be permitted inside.

 

  • No eatables will be allowed inside the event venues.

 

  • Participants must take full responsibility for their belongings. The institution or Fest Committee will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.

 

  • Participants are required to be present at least 30 minutes before the start of their event.

 

  • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant or team for violating rules, misconduct, or failure to follow given instructions.

 

  • The organizers reserve the right to modify/implement any new or existing rule(s) at any point of time.

 

  • All participants will be provided with E-certificates upon successful participation.

 

  • These rules are applicable to all events under Tech Solstice'25 and must be strictly followed by all participants.



The organisers of Tech Solstice 2025 reserve the right to remove any team or person from the competition at any time. 

 

We will not hesitate to remove you if you break these rules.
